Chewievette
What coating would you recommend? I bought a used cooler and threw it in the blaster to get the old crappy paint off but now I have a natural aluminum intercooler and I'd like to protect it from the elements. I'm sure the natural metal would conduct the heat best but I dont want it to start corroding either. What should I coat it with? Regular paint? High temp paint? Powdercoat? Anodize? Something else? What's the recommendation?

2126
I think the least expensive method would be to have it anodized....maybe $40.00 Tom
Cruez
If you want it natural looking but protected.. you could powdercoat it in satin clear coat.
Chewievette
I'll probably end up going with black but I'm not sure what color to make it yet. Apparently I have a few options, I would just paint it but I dont want to have to strip and paint it every other season.
OlderThanMe
White would attract the least amount of heat. Black woud attract the most heat. No coating would be the best for heat transfer.
jt1
Calico does radiators for the nascar guys, supposedly the coating improves the heat transfer. You might give them a call. http://www.calicocoatings.com John
Cruez
Calico is right up the road a bit from me... They do quite a bit of different engine coatings.
