Zmanco
I'm looking for a longer version of the throttle linkage piece in this picture. The one I currently have is 6" and I'd prefer 7 or 8". Anyone know where to find one? I've tried my weber sources but with no luck.
vashonz
I just bought a piece of metric all-thread and cut that to length. That way it was however long I want and still adjustable.
Zmanco
Do you know a source for the plastic end pieces that are threaded? One end of this piece looks like it is molded onto the rod.
JMortensen
Not a direct answer to your question, but have you considered switching to a cable setup? Easier to install and works a lot smoother, at least mine did...
Zmanco
I suppose I could go to a cable setup, but what I have works well-enough. I just want to put a little longer rod on to reduce the throttle sensitivity. You can't see it from this angle, but the throttles on the carbs would move less at tip in of the pedal if the rod was about 1-2 inches shorter. It's not a big deal, just one of those little things that would make it easier to drive smoothly in traffic and parking lots. I'm heading by a guy with a lot of old parts tomorrow. Perhaps he has a spare rod. That would give me 2 threaded ends and then I would just need the metric all-thread.
ezzzzzzz
Go to http://www.piercemanifolds.com. They sell a high quality all-metal link in several adjustable lengths. It is reasonably priced for what you get. They are also vastly superior to the factory link. I use these at the pedal and carbs. A lokar cable operates between the two.
