240zV8
i don't think the fog lights would draw more than it charges, my guess is your alternator has a problem. It should always re-charge once your driving, if it doesn't thats usually the problem. Since u replaced it, that makes me feel stronger that it's the problem.....just like everything else, they can be faulty.

Ledphoot
I know alot of people who have had real issues with the quality of some of the rebuilt older import alternators/starters available these days. Sometimes it takes 3-4 to get one that lasts......
cpt jack
Should i go to nissan and buy the real deal?
GHtokyo
Well, take it out and have it bench tested at the place where you bought it. I know that around me Auto-Zone and Advance Auto will bench test them up to the rated current. Did you resistance-check the fusible links or just do a visual inspection? I would do an ohm-reading. Good Luck,

Good Luck, I totaly agree, and when they bench test it and see its at fault I would hound them to fix it on the house.
datsun280zx81
On the rebuilt items they usually offer a lifetime warantee or a minimum of a year. I just had that problem with a starter I bought three months ago. It just went bad so I got a new one in yesterday for free.
