Guest 400 ci 280z
can you use a rotissorie when you totally strip the car and have one of the frame rails cut out?

Guest 2adz
I would think you would be ok as long as you remove as much weight as possible from the car. Here are some shots of my Z on a rotisserie that I designed. http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/datsun2adz/lst?.dir=/280Z&.view=t

pparaska
I got some drawings, etc. from a guy on the IZCC list. He of course, wants to be sure people know that his design is not certified by an engineer and that the plans are for use "at your own risk". I won't say that I would or would not use the plans to stay out of legal trouble as well. But they are on my site : http://members.home.net/pparaska/rotisserie.htm Links at the top of that page. 383 240z
The set of drawings I made to duplicate it is locked away in my storage unit I may have time next week to dig them out. Lets hope!!!!
Dave
Check out this engine stand. http://12.224.13.212/sale/ This idea could be applied to the rotissorie. The gear reduction assembly looks like what is used on a large over head door that is opened with a contunious chain Dave...
