DAT240Z
I have been having a lot of problems with my 3.0, board with the coil driver. In looking for a solustion to my no spark condition,I would like to just run the box as fuel only and than run the MSD 6BTM sprak box for my timming. Have anyone ran that set up or is running this set up could you give me some feedback. I look on the megasquirt site for links to the fuel only code but could not find it. If anyone knows where I can find the fuel only code or how I can make my box fuel only could you please help me. Thanks
mobythevan
I don't think you need any different code, you just go into megatune and turn off spark control.
big-phil
I had trouble with the spark, Is your coil signal inverted?, and did you set the dwell both in megatune?
DAT240Z
yes my spark is inverted, dwell is set to 4.0,2.8 running amd .1. I have had problems with the spark for almost a year now. Thats why I have decided to run the Msd box and use MS. for fuel only. Thanks.
big-phil
Is your pull-up resistor in right? and are the other mods to the board all done right, and the solder has not broken loose or something?
randy 77zt
you need some kind of labscope to start doing some kind of source-to output signal tracing.if you have a 280zxt coil brackit with the transistor on it the ms will fire that-but the main thing with ms is the various settings(software,jumpers,pull-up resistors)that have to be researched to get it to work.i made a test probe out of led's to check my wiring.
