naviathan
What do you use to sonic clean fuel injectors? I thought about buying one of these jewelery cleaners for my wife and I thought maybe I could buy two and use one with parts cleaner to clean fuel injectors. Would that work? Or is there a certain type of sonic cleaner to use on car parts?
rudypoochris
http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=82 I am going to try that on my Explorer since it has a little ping. Maybe chemically cleaning them is the safest bet?
naviathan
That seems simple enough, but the Z injectors don't have filters and the opening are a bit smaller.
rudypoochris
I would try soaking and then using a turkey baster or something to force the fluid through. I have not done this yet though, so I can't speak first hand.

Tony D
Plenty of information on DIY injector cleaners at the Bowling and Grippo site (megasquirt inventors) as well as the Cosworth Vega website... http://www.cosworthvega.com/Articles/InjectorTester/Homemade%20Injector%20Cleaner.htm
AK-Z
I was thinking of using a 9V battery and contacting the points and reversse flow to clean them. Good or bad idea? Aren't they high impedence? I forgot how many cc the stock ones flow (that was a question I gues:p).
