Dudeboy
Decent weather in Georgia finally!!! I got a chance to primer Friday and paint the engine bay Saturday. Also Friday had a large box waiting for me!!! I will post more details about that in the Bodykit paint forum -here is two pics. More to follow. 1.Talk to John at Speartech new Harness and ECM taken care of. 2.Spoke to Mike at JTR, just waiting for Headers and then he can ship the other LS1 parts. 3. Spoke to Johns Cars Inc., Mounting Kit on the way except for Driveshaft. Anyone using Johns Cars Inc. driveshaft, you need give him the pilot flange diameter, Pilot bolt circle diameter and size of your bolt holes -this will expedite things. Need to order brakes, wheels and tires and then the next week or so once the main mounting parts are here-motor and trans goes in !!!! Thanks Mike (m1noel) I think I am clear on the fuel lines. DavyZ
Glenn, the garage is super-nice (where do all the members get these things?) and the car is looking great. Will you be keeping the same color (nice BTW) or going with something different? I think wheels and tires will be very pricey with the new flares and all, but hey, that's what money is for!! Keep us updated with pics Davy

Sounds like your getting close to build time. Nice weather in Georgia?? It rained like crazy this morning, beautiful after lunch though. It was nice to be able to work with the garage door open. Dudeboy
Thanks ! Thanks ! I am on a mission to get it done!! Deja, We got some rain over here in Hiram, I needed 55 degrees or warmer and no humidity to spray the underhood paint. Once I got the old drivetrain out, I have been waiting for at least two months for the temperatures we had this past weekend to paint. Brian, We used rattle can Dupli-color self etching primer, and the next day I sprayed with a gun Eastwood semi-gloss underhood black. It cost about $25.00 a quart, and once thinned it sprays well. I did remove paint with dremel in tight areas and steel brush on a drill. The battery tray area got treated with a rust ecapsulator as well. Davy Z My parents (My Dad and me!!!) lucked out when they decided to leave Las Vegas after retiring from San Diego(traffic, more new construction and congestion)They decided to moved to Georgia, found this house in my subdivision -right around the corner from me !!! The rest is history. I am going to stick with the silver-gray metallic. I am budgeting for the Arizona 5 lug brakes (I need to upgrade the brakes) but also for the selection and prices on 5 lug wheels that are 17 x11. The options are slim and more costly with the 4 -lug Z bolt pattern.
