Mike kZ
Yea, it's supposed to take a direct hit from a tornado.

Hartspank
Definately the discovery channel car. Big metal coffin if you ask me. I don't think it has any rollcage, just thick windows with a lot of caulk.
Guest TeamNissan
Ya but it works lol, looks like they just bolted everything over a duelly.
COZY Z COLE
It's been aired a few times on the Discovery channel. They built it so they could film inside an actual tornado and they did.... Don't be fooled by the plates, they went to tornado active states and chased the weather systems. LARRY
johnc
The horrible results of scientists trying to be engineers. I think they actually got the thing into a very small tornado (more like a big dust devil) and were really excited about it. The camera crew filming from a few hundred yards behind had to be told by the tank crew that yes, they actually did drive into a tornado because the "tornado" also hit the camera crew's Ford Van and no one really noticed. Pop N Wood
I got that picture from a Lincoln Nebraska site. But being a Nebraska native I still blame the car on California. http://www.hprcc.unl.edu/nebraska/june5-2006NEVIT.html "The Black tornado symbols are tornadoes that have been photographed by the TIV and the red tornado symbols indicate tornadoes that the TIV penetrated " BTW, check out the cloud pics on this page http://www.hprcc.unl.edu/nebraska/june2004hastings-mammatus.html
