Guest 400 ci 280z
i thought my frame rails were good and only needed to do the subframe. well on the drivers side behind the wheel it is rusted all the way through one side . so it looks like i will do frame rails and subframe also. what i need is the plans for 280z frame rails and subframe. does any one have these? also do i need to do the frame rails first and what is the best way to do this? as much info you guys could give me would save me from screwing up big time. also could i do a tube frame up front or would this be to hard? sorry about all the questions guys. chris
fl327
i say keep it simple. a nice set of subframe connectors could be fabbed up and will help everything, things you wouldnt have thought it affected will be affected. braking, acceleration, cornering, you name it, it gets better with these. try looking at pparaska or owens site, or the others, they have some good documentation on them

Jeff
Check out Pete Paraskas web site. He's got a great write up at http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pparaska/structuralmods.htm Or you can purchase replacement frame rails at http://web.ctsolutions.com/zeddfind/ Just click on body parts for pricing and some pics. Hope this helps.

Guest 400 ci 280z
thanks i now have a pretty good idea on how i will do this. take a crap load of measurements and start from there. one question on welders. are the century welders built pretty good? i can get one here for $330 that can weld 26 gauge and is already set up for gas. then i only need to get gas.
