equal length headers?

Recommended Posts

ON A TURBO, exhaust tunning by primairy length, is far less important than clearance, your not useing the vacuum to scavage the cylinders, and access issues, are far more important, build it to gain easy access and clearance, keep in mind heat damage to near by parts, access to bolts, gasket instalation, adjusting valves, valve cover sealing, spark plug access, ignition wire routing, any potential advantage in tuned length will be all but meaningless compared to maintinance and clearance issues

think STAINLESS and vibration stress, access, routing and ease of maintinance

Pay more attention to the collector arrangement to ensure a smooth transition from the runners to the turbo flange, than the exact length of the runners ..

you will also need to work out your runner length and thickness of material that is required for your application .. thicker wall/smaller tube will aid in spool time, but restrict flow up top .. reverse for bigger runner ID

Primairy length being the greatest distance in the bend?

This manifold has lots of space to work with so im not worried, ive fit it all up so far and it fits and looks pretty good, its for a FC rx7 with a 20b. Ive used 2" sched 10 304 stainless pipe wich works realy well and was easy to come by....as for the runner lenghts, they are all equal the way ive measured it but I had a realization the it wont realy matter because of the flow charecteristics of the rotary engine(3 pulses every 360deg each runner) Nonetheless its still looks wicked !!
