A long shot.......

This may seem to be a dumb question to some people. I remember watching a movie many years ago, where there was a car chase scene. There were 6 or so blacked out S30 Z's driven by japanese gangster types chasing some guy for whatever reason. I don't remember much of anything else other that the Z cars being involved. If anyone has a clue to what I am asking, please respond. Thanks in advance.

I remember this movie also, saw it in the 80's when I was getting my first exposure to Z's in general... have had no luck finding it tho. Seems most of the Z's came to violent ends... wouldnt mind seeing it again if someone can find it.

• The Japanese manga Wangan Midnight features an S30 which is nicknamed The Devil Z and is driven by the manga's protagonist Akio Asakura.
  
• A silver S30 is seen in the background in Fox Broadcasting Company's That 70's Show
  
• A red S30 can be seen in various shots, whilst parked in the staff car park in the Australian '90s teen soap Heartbreak High.
  
• A 260Z was one of the cars featured in Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo. This car was white with red and yellow stripes and a large black arrow-shaped emblem on the hood. It bore a number 35.
  
• Bruce Nolan has a 260Z 2+2 in Bruce Almighty (2003), but he transforms it into a Saleen S7 when he gets his powers.
  
• In the 1978 movie, Corvette Summer, Mark Hamill is told that his corvette is in a Las Vegas casino. When he arrives it is an early Z car with the same paint scheme.
  
• Numerous S30s, as well as other Z-Cars and Japanese sports cars, can often be seen parked outside Jerry Seinfeld's apartment as well as other locations in the hit television show "Seinfeld.
  
• In Life On Mars Series 2 Episode 1, Villain Tony Crane drives a Green 240z.

On Mythbusters I see a white S-30 quite a bit. I think it belonged to Scottie, I have not seen it since she left.

After the last episode I have anew favorite slogan from the show:

"If I had any diginety left that would have been embarassing!!"

I think I saw the movie in the late 80's as well, when I got my first Z, senior year highschool. Deja, I have seen most of what you mentioned, one never knows where you may see some Z's on T.V. Anyone remeber that video shown on one of those "most dangerous Videos" shows, where the idiot that had stolen the army tank and went on a rampage? He crushed a few cars including an S30 Z. Then there was one of the original gone in sixty seconds realted movies where an S130 Z had the front end completely clipped off during a car chase scene.

Back to my original post, someone has to have a clue! It is driving me nuts.

I vaguely remember a movie about street/roadracers out in LA that had a Z in it - I remember someone saying - "that's a Z", referring to a car running Mullholland Dr.

 

Don't remember a movie with a flock of Z's chasing someone tho....

There was usually a 240 or 280 on every third episode of CHiPs! (I've gone to alot of therapy since the 70's to be able to admit I watched that show.)

Brad-Mans movie is called "King of the Mountain" and it had Dennis Hopper in it, and Harry Hamlin from L.A. Law. Z only makes a short appearance in it.
