gjc5500
The whole car shakes under acceleration. its not really noticeable in 1-3 but in 4th the whole car shakes VERY severly. even crusing in 4th is very shaky. could this be bad ujoints, loose differential, or bad differential mounts? e_racer1999
even alignment, suspension bushings, wheel imbalance....
gjc5500
alignment right, bushings still in OK condition, wheels balanced. if i accelerate through 60 in 3rd, no shake, same acceleration in 4th, bad shake
Challenger
Id check the driveshaft and u joints. When my car was on the road we got the driveshaft worked on and it really helped. (the shake)
piston
mine shakes and stops frequently. im not sure whats wrong with it, it vibrates at acceleration but stops at crusing. then sometimes it just doesnt vibrate at all. all three of whats listed is probablymy problems. im not sure why it does it at low speeds sometimes and stops. i have old stub axles and joints. not too confident on driveshaft. and for sure old bushings with unbalanced wheels. gjc5500
Tonight or early toamrow im gonna get the car on a rack, change the ujoints and tighten the mounts on the tranny, motor, and differential
bjhines
If the shake is typical of wheel or tire issues... then have the tires "Road Force" tested to see if they are the problem. Driveline vibrations tend to be a hum as much as a shake.. tire issues are usually lower frequency...
gjc5500
BINGO! dropped the drive line. the rear ujoint had 2 of the clips fall out. the joint was moving around in the yoke. replaced the ujoint, no vibration up to 110mph.
