wigenOut-S30
Thoes of you running Aluminum radiators. What electric fans are you using. On my old setup ZXTurbo Radiator with twin 12" pullers. That just fits. I just got my new Summit Aluminum radiator and it looks like these fans are not going to fit side by side anylonger. Total core width is 20.5" I could use one as a puller and one as a pusher on the other side. So lets see some pics and or suggestions on E fans and Aluminum rads.. wigenOut-S30
I think I found a nice one. It is a 16" Zirgo. Summit has them for 92 bucks. It flows 2700 CFM and at only 10 amps. It is also not too thick at 3.5" http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=hfm-zfb16s
BLKMGK
Whoa! Do not use the danged aftermarket fans, they generally suck! Look at the Ford Taurus 2pseed fan from a 6banger - like $90 on Ebay. 2speeds so when you need serious cooling you've got it. I have a Ford Cobra fan on my car that is also 2 speeds - whenturned on with the hood up I feel a BREEZE at the back of the car. Just make sure you use a GOOD Bosch relay, the Radio Shack stuff will burn up - ask me how I know
rags
Were you able to fit a Taurus fan in front of an L6? I bought one and returned it because it wouldn't clear the water pump. Joe

Joe Same here... I still have it and use it as a wall plaque I did buy the 16" Zirgo puller (off eBay), and now use it on my Alum rad. in front of the rb26. Works fine. Great Deal Joel, Yeah I have known about the tarus fans for quite a few years. I had one on my 280ZX.. it just barley fit on the ZX with some trimming of the fan. I couldnt get one to fit in the S30 either. I bought the Zirgo and it will be combined with a aluminum rad.. Should work out great.. Thanks guys. BLKMGK
In my case I put it in front of a 3Liter 2JZGTE in a Supra Perhaps put it in as a pusher? The Cobra fan is worth looking at too, just depends on the car. My 240Z has a Cobra fan in front of a 383SBC. Both work well. Can measure it's depth if someone wants. I need to put my WEB server back up so you can see pics

Zirgo's distribution warehouse and offices are actually here in Portland Oregon so I went down to their storefront to check out the different fans. Zirgo makes some astounding CFM claims that, according to the sales guy, are because they use different test procedures that result in better CFM ratings. He didn't know more than that but my impression was that the Zirgo CFM rating are a bit generous. He also mentioned that the depth specifications are off on some of their fans. For example I originally wanted a ZFU16S which has a depth spec of 3.5". When I measured it the depth was actually 4.2". I still bought a Zirgo fan but was annoyed with the incorrect information. I'm not bashing Zirgo, I'm just stating the facts as I was told by the Ziro sales rep.
