  1. the jtr kit uses a spacer that sits in between the frame and the rack it drops the rack down
  2. git the car out of storage and pulled the old 408 out i will be selling the old engine and the old jtr mounts and radaitor
  3. ok so what do you have to upgrade to run the t56
  4. the cable throtel i could have used the tv cable from my 700 r with out changing anything but it is looking like i will have to change the valve body to make it work with the 700r
  5. Well I picked up my engine today it's a lm7 but it has the drive by wire can I swich out the throtle bodies
  6. ok so what kind of power can i get out of the lm7 like if i change the cam and intake i have heard you can get a lot of power from the lq4 i am just wondering witch one i should i start with and will i be happy with the lm7.

  9. i was looking at the specs on the hummer oil pan it is only 6 in tall how far down would that stick out
  10. what about the truck oil pan any of you have a pic of the clearence using the jci mounts
  11. i looked at those and than would make 3 pices of steeel for the mount . that seems a bit scary what about puting the lm7 with a 700r i know you need to change the valve body becaus of the tv cable and you need a adaptor for the fly wheel i callled summit asking them and they didnt know what i was talking about
  12. i havent decided yet if i will use a pre made mount or make my own i dont really like the jtr setup .. i would like to go with something a bit more solid .... the curent sbc is a built up 408 it gets 8 miles a gallon and its not verry reliable as a day to day set up there was just too much fussing with it ... what do you think of the lm7 and lq4 as alternative to the ls1 and what year do they start to use the displacement on demand
  13. ok do you know what you have to do to get the truck engine to fit under a stock hood what all do you have to do what do you have to swap out
  14. i i currently have a a 77 datsun with a 408 sbc that is near 500 hp i had i street legal for 2 years i am currently pulling out that power plant to doo list... i need to find a ls1 and tranny sell the 408 and 700r i also have a jtr radiator
  15. what size of tires and wheel flairs are you using where did you get the tires

  18. i got a summit griffin radator it was ment to fit a old nova i had lower the mounting bracket to make it fit but it is twice as thick as the stock
  19. i have a wiend team g singel plane with a 1 inch spacer and i still have room for a good size air cleaner
  20. let us know how the performance is i have a simular setup with a 408 and a 700r 4 i have a 235 wide on the front and 245 on the back on a 17 rim
