gjc5500
Im looking at putting a 100hp shot of wet nitrious on my stockish L24. i was wondering if i run a stand alone fuel pump/lines for my nitrous nozzles, could i use a EFI direct port system on a carbed engine? z-ya
When you add nitrous, don't you need to add fuel too? That is the hardest part of adding nitrous to a car, adding the right amount of fuel so you don't run lean and start melting things.
gjc5500
yea, a wet system injects fuel too. so if i used a efi fuel pump*just for the nitrous nozzles* woud that work?
spacecase70
should
TravRMK
I don't see why not, as long as you have the required fuel pressure at the fuel solenoid.
gjc5500
sweet. i think im gonna start saving money and get a 150wet shot
TravRMK
I would look hard at whatever system you think you may want. The fogger style ar the best IMO. They inject nitrous, and fuel in the same nozzle which atomizes the fuel better than other methods. I will put a NOS sprotsman fogger on my Z with a set of fogger nozzles in each runner. One cool thing I may, or may not do is get a led purge system, and plum it into the cowl area. I can just see myself teasing one of those ricer kids that pull up next to me and rev their stock engine with an aftermarket muffler. PSSSST, PSSSST, with a blue glowing cloud coming from my cowl vent, and them thinking.... Oh, w,w,w,what the......
