nosebleedZ Posted July 15, 2007 Share Posted July 15, 2007 Bryan, With the existing setup you have, you could angle the I/C out & away from the radiator about 2 inches, and mount a thin guage aluminum shield over the gap, then attach w/ self -tap screws. This would require longer brackets (Home Depot-1.99 each) at the top. To get the 3" pipe down & out of the way, I had to use silicone straight couplers at the I/C inlet & outlet & 90* aluminum tubes going to turbo & T/B. You can then push the 90 pipes downward an inch or so to clamp to the coupler. Think of it as sticking your finger inside a beer bottle neck & tilting it down. I kept the stock hinges, but redid the core support, but that was mainly to repair it from an accident one of the previous owners was in. I was wondering what the story was with the funny shaped hole in the hood... then he closed it LOL. To this day I am not sure how you made that hole such an irregular size and good fit LOL. I got my silicone couplers off of the bay from vertex I think. Good quality and good prices on clamps. Look exactly like my old turbonetics ones. Sorry for the threadjack but has anyone seen how they do the srt4 intercoolers? The endtaks have a gentle bend back to bring the outlet of the IC facing straight back. I am considering that for my S14. I have intercooler envy. Evan I have the ebay intercooler, the best thing about it is when I smashed it into the ground on a speed bump I did not care haha. I just dont want to spend a million bucks to get the rad support grinded out because i cant get my bumper off..
