nbesheer
I don't mind people looking under my car like at shows and stuff or when I am there it's just I wasn't there. and I don't really know the neighborhood. But everything seems to be fine all ready and I don't know if I need a kill switch anymore anyways because the car is so damn hard to start now. SSflyer
A couple weeks ago I was pulling back into the driveway after some pretty fast driving on a bumpy road and one of my tie rod ends fell out. The nut was still laying on top of the steering arm, so obviously it had just come loose. I was extremely surprised because I specifically remembered putting the cotter pins in. So I tightened that one up and thought I'd better check the other side too, and the other cotter pin was also missing and the nut was on by less than 1/4 turn. This was back when the car was in and out of several shops trying to resolve the emission test problems, so there was no way to know when or where the pins were removed. Why would anyone remove cotter pins? Don't know, but some people are just jealous or hateful. All I know is that I would certainly have been dead if that tie rod had fallen loose one minute earlier. It might not hurt to crawl under your car and be sure there's nothing wrong....
cygnusx1
Cigarette Lighter....been using that one for at least 15 years. I can reaveal that trick now because I have moved on to better things. The lighter was great though. Right next to the key. Push it in and turn the key. Just make sure you short the heating coil by ripping it out and driving in a sheetmetal screw. When I go to car shows, I expect people to look around and under the car. Out on the street, you can usually tell if it's malicious or not if you see it happen. What ticks me off is when people lean on the car, scratch it, and drip ice cream on the fenders. All of this has happened to my car at local shows. nbesheer
That irritates me too when people lean on my car. I once caught a kid sitting on my head light bucket. also I will check cotter pins, although I would assume that something would have happened by now.
