Did a search and found a total of 3 topics, one closed, and the other 2 have no useful information leading to what this is. Anyone have any answers on what an e42 head is or might be? For what its worth, i believe it to be an aftermarket thing- my friend storing the car noted it to me, said the stock numbers (not the e) had been ground away and the 42 had been etched into the side. Ive done a search on google and found a couple others asking what this might be, and even a car thats listed as using an e42 head- So i was hoping it might be a common enough thing done by a specific shop or such, or just a nick name given to a common mix of parts.
