z or bust
Ok so my 83 280ZXt has been having problems with misfiring while I'm boosting. I've figured out that its my plugs; they can't stand the pressure created in the cylinders. because if I don't boost it runs fine all day long but the minute it goes above zero...sput...sput. You get my picture. Has anyone had this happen before and what plugs are you guys running??
Challenger
I saw in a Mustang magazine that they did a turbo kit on a fox body and they had to put on a more powerful ignition because it was being blown out. But dont take my word that thats your problem. Good Luck Blown out from boost.
Clifton
It has more to do with gap than plug brand. What's your plug gap? The more boost the tighter. On mine anything over .023" misses, I run .020".
z or bust
Does it only miss when you boost or all the time??
Bchappy
trust me when your getting blow out under boost first try to gap down the plugs. Clifton is exactly right.
