Mike C Posted September 13, 2002 Share Posted September 13, 2002 I am doing the front brake upgrade to 300zx vented rotors and 280zx calipers. What brake lines should I use for this swap? Terry, I checked your write up on zhome again but there was no mention of flex lines. Am I to assume that my existing braided stainless 240 lines will work? The reason no reference was made to this subject was that it was not a problem what-so-ever. It's a bit fuzzy to me now, but I think I used the ZX hoses (SS braided later on) and it was not a problem. If I remember correctly, the ZX hoses went right into steel tube fittings. I just can't remember it being a problem (it's been many an "exhaust filled garage" nights ago when I did this and dain bramage may have resulted) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jeromio Posted September 15, 2002 Share Posted September 15, 2002 I have Terry's brake swap on my car and I ordered a set of Russel ZX SS brake hoses. Since I have the complete ZX brake setup front and rear, it works out perfectly. For some reason MSA shipped me a few extra lines. Not sure why. I'm using one of them for my clutch.
