ktm
Go to Autozone. You can borrow them for free - sort of. You pay a deposit, use the item at your leisure, return them and get your deposit back. I've done it myself a few times.

auxilary
or you can get a set for 9-10 bucks from harbor freight tools. just make sure to grease the compressor threads before using them
LLave
or you can get a set for 9-10 bucks from harbor freight tools. just make sure to grease the compressor threads before using them Warning, several years ago I bought one from HF and had it fail. Shooting the spring out but luckily doing no harm. Be careful with cheapo tools.
auxilary
i had one fail as well, but only because it wasn't greased. I've since learned to put axle grease on the threads, and I've used to the same set to pull 3-4 sets of springs also, do not buy spring compressors from MSA- they just resell the HF spring compressors at triple cost
poortecher
I also have the compressors from harbor freight. Like Aux said, just grease the threads on the spring compressor and you'll be in like flint. I've used mine to do three sets of springs, and no problems so far. For the money, you can't beat it.
