mikeatrpi
To be different- you can assemble the kit cobra's for the FFR challenge series; a turn key race car build and rent / sell spec miata's, spec e30's, spec du-jour I know formula 1st is pretty up and coming in the northeast, get into those? As they said, live the dream Dave. Especially with your son growing up if you can afford to assume the risk you can grow your family time and personal business too. Caveat emptor, because I'm unmarried and a fellow cube monkey.
Dudeboy
Dave, I say do it !!!!! As stated Factory Five has very nice Kits, and they have just added a more complete kit that just need Engine/Transmission, Wheels/Tires, paint and fuel pump to complete the car. Building there spec racer challenge series could be profitable as well. The Superformance cars are more complete, but are on the higher end of the spectrum but very nice as well. I am looking at my next project, and I am pretty much sold on the Factory five ( First, I have to finish the Z !!). Create your niche, and the requests will come. By the way, if all goes well my project will be a "bowtie Cobra". Good Luck
Pete84
How about kit car 'vettes? Don't see many of the early ones on the road, but wow, do they have presence! Lengthen the frame a bit for some extra room, think it would look great.
