Firion_13
I have 1990 300zx tt, well was. i have a chevy v8 in it and have all my gauges working except the boost obviously, and the tach. if i wire the tach up as is it will run fast. but it has whats called a trim pot on the back... anyone know how to calibrate them or if i need anything special to do so? Guest mrzxmiles
the trim pot on the back is usualy adjusted with a screwdriver and will change the calibration on the instrument , if you do not have the equipment to check if the instrument then changing things is not advised
Careless
how is the tach wired up? there are certain tachs that will read the input correctly without a potentiometer adjustment depending on the way it's wired. If you can borrow one, and use that as a reference to set your idle and cruise RPM, you could adjust the trim pot to match, and you should be ok. Most would adjust by "sound". I don't think that's right. Do you have access to an original tach, or a junkyard tach from a similar motor?
