Careless
First pic looks like the headers are going to have clearance issues with the steering rack, but it seems like it will turn out ok. What kind of balancer/harm.dampner is that on there? noice!
stangracr
Headers fit perfect. Gonna have to modify the steering shaft regardless. I think its a knockoff fluid dampner. Headers are block huggers. ed

Just Jim
running the summit racing block hugger headers. ed The Summit block huggers fit my car without any steering shaft mods.
stangracr
Its not the headers that are creating the steering shaft concern. Its the crossmember I used. Its the one that was being sold by a member on here. Im not totally happy with it and will probably modify it before its done. I really want to put the engine more towards the pass side so the driveshaft isnt in a bad angle. Everything is just sitting in the engine bay right now no holes drilled and the crossmember isnt bolted to the frame yet. Is your crossmember a modified one like I have or did you make it yourself. ed
Just Jim
I made my own crosmember which uses early Mustang motor mounts. The motor isn't centered but offset about 1 inch or so like the original motor. The oil pan is a dual sump from a Fox body Mustang. The front sump oil drain is pretty close to the original crossmember but the drain plug can be removed.
