Savage42
For the last couple of days, I noticed that the "edit" feature for posts I wrote has not been on the thread. Is anyone else having the same problem? Help a brother out!
e_racer1999
i think the edit feature expires after a certain amount if time. or like if you post a few more posts. not sure, lemme check.

Administrators SuperDan Posted September 26, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2007 We have noticed that some posts are starting to be deleted by members who have left our site for whatever reason. Also, I know for a fact that a current member who shall remain nameless has deleted a couple of “write-ups†from our site. So, I have disabled the ability for members to edit or delete their own posts. I am looking into other options on how to prevent this from happing but until then my recommendation is to proof read before you hit that Post button. Savage42
I can understand that. Thanks for the feedback. I just kept updating the list of names in the one post, but just have to keep adding an updated list in this type of scenario. No big deal, just didn't want people to get annoyed by it. Thanks! jgkurz
One more thought. I personally have on occasion posted a emotional response that I went back and deleted because it was probably inappropriate or against the rules. The delete and edit features have allowed me to be a better HybridZ citizen. I realize the problem that the delete and edit features cause but I also wanted to make sure everyone realizes that keeping them functional will possible reduce administration overhead from people like myself. Just a data point to consider as you are working on a solution.

HizAndHerz
Some other vBulletin sites that I know of allow posts to edited for 24 hours. I like that!

280Z Turbo
Could we have it so that you can delete your thread as long as nobody has responded to it?
COZY Z COLE
Yep...send me a PM and I'll do it for you as long as it's not a tech post. It will be done at the Admins discretion.... LARRY
