jkgts1
Hi, for those that have done the 2jzgte into a 240/260z how does it handle? I am aware that the 2jzgte is a very heavy motor, and wanted to know how it is around corners. Thanks, jgkts1
RUSSJZ-ZED
Hi, for those that have done the 2jzgte into a 240/260z how does it handle? Might pay to put brakes in as well.you may need to slow it down before you hit the corner.
jkgts1
Sorry, I assumed that the suspension would be done too. I just wanted to find out if the weight problem could be fixed fairly easily. I ask also because I have a 77 Celica that I wanted to put a 7mgte in but I hear it is way to heavy and would have a difficult time making it handle nice. I want to be able to take the Z to the track also, and not just go fast in a straight line. Thanks for the reply.
JustinOlson
The factory L28 is near the same weight of the 2JZ without the turbo's on it. It should handle just as well as L28 powered S30 especially if you mount the 2JZ against the firewall and as low as possible. Justin

johnc
Given enough time, money, and testing any can be made to handle reasonably well. The Porsch 911 is a classic example.
