Guest TeamNissan
I prefer the sports 800 myself v4 ftw. Both are drop dead gorgeous though, shame they are so rare.
strotter
Didn't James Bond (Sean Connery, the real one) get a ride from a gorgeous lady-spy in one of those? In "You Only Live Twice", I think.

Yes, but according to wikipedia that is the only convertible model made.

Zeero
Oh man! I love that car! I've know of them for quite some time but never knew anything about it. So nice!
Collectindust240Z
Actually that was the original design for the Z. Someone at Nissan pissed off the designer, so he took his design to Toyota. I came across one in Maine once on the highway. He spanked my stock 240SX. Sounded very sweet.

Administrators BRAAP Posted December 17, 2007 Administrators Share Posted December 17, 2007 Actually that was the original design for the Z. Can you list sources to justify saying that? I to recall that same exact story, can’t remember what book it came from though but that is exactly how I remember the story reading. In one of my other Z car history books I did find this regarding that Yamaha built Toyota and Goertz involvement with Datsun/Nissan. Book cover; Pg 42; Pg 43;
Guest TeamNissan
Ya, I had just never heard that before. I need at least a credible source be for I can say hey I learned something new .
Austin240Z
Too bad my Z isnt worth $150,000 like a well maintained 2000GT.... I always loved the way the GT looked, and yeah it does look very similar to the Z My girfriend told me earlier today(before I saw this post) that she wants to buy one.... (like we'll ever have the money)
