rb25240z
Hello I have purchased a R200 lsd with a 4.375 ratio I think(it has 35:8 stamped on the gear). Im trying to work out which cars its from so I can get parts to fit it into a 240z. It came with 4 bolt cv s that seem to be a bit shorter than the 240 half shafts. The whole rear assembly came from a jap import but the wrecker had know idea what car it was from. Think it might be from a 300zx but is there any numbers or marks to be sure? Thanks for your help. RB26powered74zcar
I bought one off ebay awhile back and it was exactly what your describing, it came off a R31 skyline.
greenmonster80
Alot of the 4.xx LSD nissan diffs come from the FJ20 powered skylines. The rear disc brakes can fit the z car as well as the entire drivetrain. Not very popular but the FJ can put out big power.
rb25240z
Great looking car, I think your right thats its from a skyline. Do you know if you can use the cv conversion kit that modern motersport sells for the 300zx diffs? How did you fit your diff?

Do you know if you can use the cv conversion kit that modern motersport sells for the 300zx diffs? How did you fit your diff? There is quite a bit of info on this in my diff FAQ post (also in the stickies of this forum). If you have a longnose R200 with a CLSD then the Z31T CV will work. I'm pretty sure the R31 diffs came with the CLSD.
