Hopelessly Confused Posted January 27, 2008 Share Posted January 27, 2008 After about 1 year of off and on work I finally figured out what was wrong with my tranny. The problem was it wasnt shifting till it hit the rev limiter and would only shift into 2nd gear and it would never shift back down into first when you came to a stop. So I figured out that it was just the ground wire to the vss had been cut some how when I put the engine in the first time but it only took me 1 year to figure it out. deja Posted January 27, 2008 Share Posted January 27, 2008 Congrats, finding one wire that was cut is a PITA for sure. I noticed the cable going the the tranny was pinched between the engine and the body when I pulled it from on my donor car. I checked it before I intalled in in the Z.
