But I dont have much money, so I found these cheap turbos and I was wondering if they are any good?
Brad-ManQ45
I may b e wrong, but SSAutoChrome has had a bad rep from the posts I have seen elsewhere.... Anyone that doesn't specify garrett housings is suspect in my book - the cheap housings crack...
G.I.jonas
Why do they charge $50 to ship a turbo?
Brother Grim
My brother got one for his crx to use untill his motor blew up. It was not nearly as bad as I had expected it to be. In fact, at 10psi it has lasted several years now (dang motor just won't blow) and it still feels tight. However there was a big mixup in shipping and, long story short, we had to threaten legal action to get them to ship another one out. The company was a huge pain to deal with, but the turbo quality was better than I had expected for under $200.
cholag
Wow thanks for all that input, that was really good stuff!
LeX
i would recommend picking up a holset turbo for your project instead of a generic one that you really know nothing about. Look into the HX35 or Hy35 (he351) as well
Lazeum
I haven't heard very good comments about them neither. They are saling turbo parts on the net with wrong pictures which lead people to purchase product they did not expect (it was an O2 housing for Mitsu Evo Turbo)
cholag
I just looked up those turbos on ebay and they are for the dodge cummins turbo diesel motors. So will those work on the z motors even though there made for diesel trucks? Also I found this one but I cant tell if it has a T3 flange on it. Plus its a rather large looking turbo so will it fit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-5-9-Cummins-Holset-HX35-Stock-Turbo_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQihZ019QQitemZ290205677349QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
