sticky280zx
i ordered a certerforce dual friction clutch (225mm) and im wanting to get a flywheel....ive heard the lightweights are great, but do they really do that much on driving/performance? like will i notice an increase in torque or just while free revving? and will the 240mm fidanza (only light flywheel size i can find out there) work with the 225mm certerforce clutch i just ordered and if not can i fit the 240mm clutch & flywheel in the 78 280 i have? thanks -jeff p.s. i did a search but it came back with sooooo many results after about 6 or so when it found FLYWHEEL in peoples sigs i caid screw it ill just post
510six
The 240mm clutch wear surface and the bolts that clamp the pressure plate down will not line up. You will need a 240mm pressure plate.
JMortensen
Fidanza makes a 225mm flywheel. At least they used to. I'm 99.9999999% sure.
OlderThanMe
SPEC 11Lb Z flywheels have a 240mm plate and are drilled for 225mm and 240mm pressure plates. I have a 225mm clutch on a 240mm flywheel. If I had known it was the same part I would have gotten a 240mm clutch too.
sticky280zx
PLEASE let me know for sure if they do jon and ill give you a call tomorrow...pm me please...and i will order one through you asap! and dan, links to said spec flywheel....and are they cheaper than 500 cause the only fidanza i can find is the one on ebay if you type in "280z lightweight flywheel" and its 240 so like others have said it wont work (BUT ITS ONLY $285) hence why i wanted to go that route...also theres someone selling a 225 clutch and a 240 fidanza in the classifieds that said they fit...so somebody might want to inform him that hes either lying about "having them mocked up and just decided to go another route" or hes a total idiot and doesnt know what hes talking about -thanks jeff
