Z8driver
I thought there might be some interest in this. It's an electronics box that will make Z (and other) tachometers work after an ignition change, or after a V8 engine swap. TechnoVersions Website - TachMatch It was developed while doing a V8 conversion on an early Z-car.
Bishopsrock
Great, I'm just trawling the posts here to try and get my stock tach working with my RB26DETT conversion. It isn't looking promising so i'm glad you posted this. Thanks
big-phil
just put my order in on one. My tach has not worked after putting in the Mallory coil. I tried the megasquirt tach outputs with no luck, looks like with the money back if it won't work thing, its a win win? I'll make a video if it works:ass:
ShaggyZ
Please do. As silly as it sounds, I almost bailed on an engine swap because I wanna keep the stock tach and speedo and the hood latch

big-phil
Have you considered you may have a broken tach? It works on the neg side of my Mallory coil but jumps around. If I put a stock turbo coil in my tach works perfect:), but the motor stumbles at high rpm. My Mallory coil keeps the motor pulling hard in high rpm, but the tach jumps around.
