rdsk8ter
not sure if this is where this should go feel free to move it Im going to make a custom center consoleand need to know what switches do you all think I need. Im thinking start, ign, fuel pump, fogs, neons inside, inside dome light anything else that you can think of. Im not going to run undercar lights I dont think, might but yea I could tie them into the neons inside they would be only show anyway. I appreciate any input. I am going to be using the car for shows and 1/4 mile runs weekend warrior
supertip
I work at a local car audio shop and we sell both under body neons and LED's. I would heavily recommend under body LED's over the neons, in fact LED's over neon inside as well. The neon will break, period, they do not bend so the light you want is difficult to achieve, and finally they consume more power than the LED's. Lol, just my imput from experience. mull
Well, at least he didn't say "ejaculation seat" : ) If you're talking about setting up neon/LED's under a classic Z... I would'nt. Just my 2 cent.
zmaster
I was thinking of doing the same thing with the neons under the car, but decided against it 2 reasons, its a classic car, and two there is no room at the rear of the z because the gas tank is to close to the back of the car so you would only be ablle to run 3 neons under the car. I am still considering a few neons inside the car for some accent lighting.

AK-Z
here is how mine looks right now still going on it though Nice. What did you use to shape? Foam board? I need to redo mine interior when I'm done with everything else. Got a couple of 10" MTX that some one gave me, that I haven't done anything with in a while. rdsk8ter
acutally cardboard for the main section ducttaped together and then used blue tape over that because i had a ton left over from some painting around the house. I made the actual subwoofer holer out of mdf. its actually really easy just make sure you match the sides together. Ive also seen people use chickenwire, foam, tape alone etc etc. Just make sure if you use foam to cover it well fiberglass will melt it. Nice. What did you use to shape? Foam board? texis30O
another good way to do it is with fleece material. It will stretch and not wrinkle........just add resin and some fiber if needed for extra support....
zmaster
thats what I was planning on doing to start the fiberglass.

zmaster
to do the fleece yuou have to first cut out an opening for the sub to sit on to, then make a tri pod for the ring the sub sits in or on, and then lay the fleece over the ring and staple it to the 3/4 inch base, and then you can start to fiberglass.thats the method I was going to do

zmaster
yes just lkike that. but on the downside, I will have to do all of this inside of my car, I don't think I will be able to take it out, right now I am working on how I will take it out of the car. I might just cut the base smaller, and cut the legs that angle the outer sube just a little shorter. i will asess the whole subwoofer situation either tonite if i go to my garage, or tomarrow morning.
