Well I just talked to my inside guy at GM and he can special order one from the factory and get one out to me but his cost is 25k. He also wanted to know why I was asking. I said just to entire myself with something I cant afford anytime soon. lol

GM makes a bolt-on eaton style supercharger for the LSX. You can also get a kit from Pro-charger for their centrifugal superchager for the LSX motor. The GM unit is good for a 40% boost in power which would take my LS1 from 390 to 545 HP. The pro-charger is intercooled so it's good for 60% which would take my LS1 to over 620 HP. At that point I'm sure I could spin all the way through 4th! And these are the non-tweaked versions - crazies are already taking them upwards of 850 HP.

 

But does it fit under the stock hood. After all, what good is all that power if people actually suspect that you have it

I don't know if it would. Have you seen the dimensions on these things, They're huge!!! It would take some major mods to get one under the hood of a Z. I think you pretty would have to go without a hood.

let me see the eaton blower that bolts on.. are you refering to the LS9 blower/intercooler set up? thats the only thing i would know of that would be a bolt on blower like that

LS2 with affordable mods would put you close in power output, for about half the cost.

Wanna go nuts, APS has developed a nice twin-turbo kit for the LS2. it's about 8k from most vendors, but with rods and pistons (and EM) you'll be lookin at like 700hp with a safe tune.
