streeteg
Looking to pick up a wideband for my RB, just something simple for my bolt on/ stock turbo rb just as some extra insurance while driving. I have my eye on a PLX M300 because its really all i need. Can I use the wideband and replace my stock 02?...should I? Benefits to replacing? I am rookie to boost, so I dont want to have any run ins.... Thanks in advance -Eric
streeteg
123 views and no answer? Now I have a power FC... Looking to get my exhaust redone and I was hoping for some clarificaiton. Can a wideband be used to replace the stocker or in addition to....
DREW RBZ
The wideband is in addition to the stock o2 sensor...will require an additional bung. The stock 02 sensor is for the ecu...I use an innovate wideband in my RBZ...love it.
streeteg
when I get my Power FC installed & tuned can they be consolidated into 1?
jerryb
PLX use to have a PDF bulletin on their web site explaining how to do this. Since they introduced their new and improved home page most of the useful stuff is gone. its all marketing now. I have a PLX500.... Look for PLXApp004(v1.1)...it explains how to do it. I plan to do the same but its low on my priority list and I have no idea how it will work with my FC. I run an RB20det If you pm me your email address I can send you a copy......I download everything (after all web sites are not forever)....I even have a English FC "manual". It not OEM but its darn good!
DREW RBZ
Im nowhere near the techie as some of the guys on this site. I believe you would need a datalogger (dataloggit) for this to work...hope someone can chime in here. Here is a link: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/resources/powerfc_tutorial.php By the way..love the ride..the wheels are awesome!

jerryb
SENT...x2! I should clarify something... Even though the manual is for FC it is also for FC datalogit. This is a great extension of the Power FC and allows improved tuning through a laptop. Hey Jerry...I would love a copy of the english FC manual if you could send me a copy. slown280z
I know the Innovate LC-1 has 2 outputs, you can have one set up as a narrowband output for the stock ECU and program the other to work with your aftermarket one.

Yes, they are fully programmable with templates for standard configurations. With this, you could replace the narrowband, but I've never tried it myself. jerryb
I will find out soon as I just bought an LC-1 for mt SX from Eriiks performance on ebay. Best price going and it included a guage and free shipping! Yes, they are fully programmable with templates for standard configurations. With this, you could replace the narrowband, but I've never tried it myself.
cheftrd
A few of the widebands out there like NGK, WMS, PLX DM-5 with SM AFR, etc, have a dedicated output that sends signal to the stock ecu, emulating a stock sensor. In this case, you only need to run the wideband sensor in the exhaust. Nice thing about the PLX is the round gauge vs. square box in the case of mounting with other gauges.
