Phantom
The JCI compressor is a high efficiency unit that uses about 25% less energy than a standard OEM - or that's what I remember him telling me several years ago. I'm not sure the RPM issue would be significant with it. I notice my LS1 dropping maybe 50 RPM when it kicks in but that has not caused me any problems. Danno74Z
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=938768&highlight=ac+request Bart, Go to this link above and I believe you question will be answered. If I under stand the logic your ECM needs to know when to bump the idle and this is done through 3 lines on the LS1 ECM. RED 14 Pressure Sensor, 17 AC request, 18 AC clutch voltage. I believe all three have to be used to get the PCM to bump the idle. From that thread above the pressure sensor is a key component to getting the ECU to increase RPM. Danno74Z Thanks Danno, you hit on the exact problem I was running into. I think putting in an AC pressure sensor will give me the information I was missing to make the PCM realize I'm running AC. Danno74Z
Hi Bart, Glad to help a little. I think this will also help: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=962124&highlight=ac+request Go down to the 6th reply and this fellow has a Vintage Air System and if you email him he may be able to tell you exactly what to do! Those guys on LS1Tech are very knowledgeable too. Danno74Z
