Devilcat
Homer says :ahhaghahghahghag zzzzz caaaaaarrrrr!" To the subject, I know of a guy who came up with chro-moly 5 bolt hub. I will see if he has any and what his retail price is. Good old 4.5X5 thank you mopa..General mot...General Mopar...Deadpar. Its no fun with the big 2, the K car saved but it was a BCD. texis30O
Devilcat what was the reason for your post? A spacer will give the needed clearance without changing out the hub.......
Devilcat
I replied for the below reasons 1) I wanted to show my appreciation for the video embed. 2) If some one else out there was looking at this thread and was thinking of dropping in some rims that there are product out in the world that could give even more choices for rims with out shims. I figured you all were on the correct path and was passing on this type of info for future projects.
stony
WHAT?????? Read your post out loud to someone and see if they get it???
Devilcat
1) I liked the drag car video 2) If any one was reading along with this thread and were thinking of improving their rims(eg:wider tires) there are parts to convert to a 5X4.5 bolt pattern for more rim options in the width department by changing out the hub. This was not intended for the current member who already has the rims. I hope that clears things up and I will try and stay away from Englishe literature and olde world spelling. Blame my mum for that.
Icehound
Has anyone tried the 17x9.5 (-19 Offset) at the back in these rims? I would be interested in how they fit. Thanks Dave
Found187
Hi everybody! I'm also trying to figure what will fit in the 77 280z I'm building up.. and I wanted to know what everybody thought of trying to cram a 17x8.5 RB 5-lug wheel in there. I'm running Tokiko struts/springs (not coilovers) and utilizing the Arizona Z-Car 5-lug racing brake convertion (effectively adding a .5" spacer to the front and .75" to the rear). Brakes are the 4-pot Wilwoods on 13" vented/drilled fronts with 12.2" vented rears... so I think 17" size is a must. I've also been looking at some 5Zigen wheels that are 17x8 with a +25mm offset, and 17x9 with a +15mm offset, besides the Rota ones shown in this thread, but I'm worried that the possitive offset will = suspension rubbing, even with the additional spacing on 5-lug hubs. Ideal tire size for my baby would be 245/35/17 all the way around.. or maybe a 235/255 front/rear thing, I kinda like the wide rear look. watcha guys think? BTW nice looking setup o.p. nearly the exact same as what I'm trying to get going (mirrors/paint/moulding) =)
