johnc
The Oly Charger is there again! That's great. It must baffle the French kids to see such a large and loud 30 year old American car. I mean, those things were basically built just to go straight really fast haha.
HS30-H
Gilles, Is Monsieur Bourgoin still telling people that his car is the original 1975/76 Le Mans 24hrs race car of Andre Haller? M. Bourgoin's car does not have any genuine period race history, and therefore should not be allowed to take part in the Le Mans Classic - according to the event's rules. It is not the original car, and it is not even anything like the original car. Bad karma.

Yes i'm agree with you, he tells already the same thing "it's the original Z of le Mans…" but is wrong of course ! perhaps he hopes sellig here z more expensive but whit Z specialist not easer for him:coollook: In France a contest about the Z participation to Le Mans : some personne thing is a 240 Z who race on Le Mans in 1974 and perhaps 1975, 1976 and others things for 1975 and especially for 1976 it was a 260Z The only thing i pround of this 240z is the fact he race to Le mans 2008 with is Z, but unfortuntely with out a real preparation…
HS30-H
Gilles, I'm glad you agree with me, and I'm glad that M. Bourgoin did not fool you. Poor Andre Haller. RIP. In France a contest about the Z participation to Le Mans : some personne thing is a 240 Z who race on Le Mans in 1974 and perhaps 1975, 1976 and others things for 1975 and especially for 1976 it was a 260Z Actually, Rob Grant ( English ) and Martin Birrane ( Irish ) tried to qualify a modified ex-Works rally 'HS30' 240Z at Le Mans in 1972. I believe they did not set a time fast enough to qualify that year, and the race was heavily over-subscribed. There were lots of reserves that never got to start. The '75 & '76 cars were actually the SAME car. In '75 it was entered as a '240Z', but in '76 it was entered as a '260Z' to take advantage of rules allowing a percentage increase in standard engine capacity. Both times it was actually an ex-works race car 'HS30' which Haller had obtained though connections including Hans Schuller. All of which makes M. Bourgoin's claim to have the original Haller car ( in which he was killed during the '76 Le Mans, and the car destroyed ) all the more ridiculous. Bourgoin's car is a modified standard road 'HLS30', and people don't even ask him how the original Le Mans car was RHD but Bourgoin's car is LHD............ If he sells it, I hope the buyer knows what he is NOT getting.

You will come ? 240 or 260 the engine of le Mans 76 was a 3L… Rob Grant ( English ) and Martin Birrane ( Irish ) work on it with this type of motor ? Daeron
That Cadillac is GORGEOUS!!!!!! I could not believe my eyes! For the record, I like classic American cars, but they aren't my forte. Really the old Datsuns are. Still, that Caddy is just.. incredible! The Charger video is awesome, too.. but mostly, thanks for letting me read this interesting conversation. Shame on counterfeiters. Zmanco
The Oly Charger is there again! That's great. It must baffle the French kids to see such a large and loud 30 year old American car. Here's the old girl at the Ring: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=63nvWVblbHk What a handful! It looks like he's struggling to turn the wheel with both hands, even at speed. BTW, when I watched it full screen I saw that the silver "blob" on the steering wheel is a mechanical stop watch taped to it. Ha! Old Skool just like the rest of the car. I love it!
