Guest jdgomez
My cousin borrowed my car and when he returned it, I found tree sap on it. It's hardened a bit and I haven't began trying to take it off because I don't want to damage my paint. Any recommendations? ___________________ Blog by Autopartswarehouse.com
Lukaniuk
I got a bunch of sap on my daily driver one time. I went to a wand wash which had lots of pressure and nice hot water. It took a little while, but eventually I got it all off with no damage to the paint.
cygnusx1
A good wash will take it off. If there is any left, use a good cleaner/wax combo. To get it perfectly clean on top of all that, use a clay bar system. Then a final wax and polish.
naviathan
Orange Cleaner. Something like Awesome! or Goo-B-Gone works well.
WizardBlack
Mix some baking soda in water and pour it all over the car and let it sit for 30 minutes. This will neutralize the acid that sank into the clear that will later eat up and soften the clear even if you cleaned all the sap off. Afterwards, wash and wax. LowCarbZ
A clay bar works best. Clay bar and detailing spray.
