280zx 2by2 Posted August 26, 2008 Author Share Posted August 26, 2008 ok i got the DL on this swap... it is almost direct bolt on (minus rigging the throttle cable) if u have a bottom cooled KA SE with cruise TB... BUT if your not going to run a larger intake pipe diameter along with porting/expanding the intake manny AND head and valves... theres almost no point... you might even get less hp due to a turbulence efect of the bulged out 60mm TB and stock piping/manny so no KA TB for me Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gollum Posted August 26, 2008 Share Posted August 26, 2008 Main reason I could see using a KA throttle would be to have a better TPS for megasquirt. As others have said, without matching headwork you won't see much of any gain in HP. You might FEEL like it, but that's just because your letting more air in sooner, and more of the end of the throttle will be useless play.
