Georgia Flash Posted April 12, 2002 Share Posted April 12, 2002 Inzane, If I am correct I do not think that a ZX tranny will bolt up to the older Z. Yes they are both Datsun/Nissan inline sixes but I seem to remember someone telling me that the late model tranny would not work with the older engines because of the bell housing bolt patterns being different. The reason I say this is because before I decided to go V-8 with my 75 Z, I was thinking of replacing the worn out old 4-speed with a ZX 5-speed and was told that it wouldn't work.
