MoNkEyT88
Currently my 240z has ground control coil overs. They are mounted to the stock isolators. The shocks are koni 5 way adjustable, and have a bit of slack inside the isolator. The stock spring perch and stock bearing are not installed in the isolator. The top of the strut rod where it bolts to the isolator and the nut noticeably move when the car goes over bumps. I checked to make sure that the nut wasn't bottoming out on the threads, and the nut is tight. I assume this means that the top of the strut is moving around because of the slack in the isolator. What is the correct way to mount the coil overs into a car without camber plates?
JMortensen
If I'm following you correctly, the correct thing to do would be to make a bushing that fits the isolator and the shock shaft so that there is no slack between the two.
