Uberberzerker
Hi, all I'm in the process of getting my 280ZX road worthy and was wondering what the best way to go about changing out the old belts is? Any help is welcome. I did some searching but did not turn too much up so if someone could link me to another thread that would be great. Thanks for the help. woldson
Umm out side of taking them off and putting on new ones, I would suggest going with gator belts. Unbelievable quiet. Also ditch the clutch fan and put in an electric. Once again quiet and easier to replace belts. The nut on the idler pulleys have to be loosen before you can move them. How is that? 280zx 2by2
did mine last weekend, all 3 of em, yep ac and power steering too... no problem just make sure you put the right belt in the right location.. took me all day and 2 trips to autozone to find that mistake... btw my z had original belts on it and they werent even cracked.. go figure
datsun723
thanks for the help! mine aren't really cracked or anything but they will need to be changed soon
m1ghtymaxXx
Just a suggestion, all the belts will slip over the fan one blade at a time, so no need to remove it. Other than that, it's pretty self explanitory.
