lowdown
Well after doing my research here, looks like i'm ordering this today http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=AER-FBM2244&N=700+115&autoview=sku For the elbows I am thinking of http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=AER-FBM1523&N=700+400274+115&autoview=sku can I use regular oil line hose with clamp on this? For a oil cooler i'm thinking of http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=BMM-70273&N=700+-128262+115&autoview=sku Any input is appriciated. lowdown
http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100007&highlight=oil+cooler+adapter this was the link i was looking at for the sizes. Only difference for the fittings is to run 2 of the elbows. Phil
CamH
I know this is kind of an old thread, but did you ever do this? If so, how did it work? Do you have any pictures? I'm thinking of doing the same thing if it worked for you.
Art Nadel
Does anyone know the ID of those fittings which are shown in Lowdown's orginal post? For that matter, what is the ID of the oil galley in the block? Seems to me we need to keep the ID of the fittings at least as big as galley ID, or risk reducing flow. Since the fittings are short, provided thier ID is not less than the galley ID should not be a problem. Would not want the hose ID to be as small as the galley ID because of the long run of hose. lowdown
Aeroquip FBM2244 Are the fittings needed to go into the factory oil cooler adapter, and then just the adapters for whatever oil cooler you end up using. I'll try and get some pics this week.
Yokohama
I once got some compression fittings for the stock tubes and then used a suitably rated hose and clamps. It seemed to work fine.
