ORANGEZ Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Datsun 72 Z. I installed tockico blues and springs with 1.0 inch drop. I also replaced ball joints and bump steer spacers. After everything was installed i put rim back on and noticed the tie rod now hits the inside of the 14 inch stock rim not allowing it to spin freely. So I test fitted my Sportmax 003 15 inch rims.They slightly rub still on the ball joing. Im assuming this is normal after modifying the stock suspension? JMortensen Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Bump steer spacers are the issue. They have shorter ones for 14's and taller ones for 15's. Bigger rims will fix as you suggested, so will smaller bump steer spacers. I want to say that the big ones are 1" and the small ones are 3/4"...
