itsaprothing
just this morning I turned my windshield wipers on to clear my foggy windshield, and I found that now only the driver's side one works, the passenger side kind of just twitches a little bit. is there a short somewhere? is the wiper motor just worn out? I don't know exactly how the mechanism works, and it's my first time dealing with this kind of problem, any help is appreciated thanks
jeffer949
Not sure on the zx's but im pretty sure they are the same. There is linkage that is controls both of the wipers by the same motor so something came apart or broke. You need to take your cowl off and have a look. MJLamberson
when you take the cowl off you will be able to see what the cause is for sure.
itsaprothing
I tightened the nut like borini said, but when I turned the wipers on, the passenger side just twitched a little more than usual on the first time then, continued to barely twitch at all. I checked the nut again, and it was loose again as if I didn't tighten it at all
MadMaxDallas
I tightened the nut like borini said, but when I turned the wipers on, the passenger side just twitched a little more than usual on the first time then, continued to barely twitch at all. I checked the nut again, and it was loose again as if I didn't tighten it at all What has happened is its off the pivot or the pivot is broken on the passenger side. Like others said, remove the vent cover between them, 8 screws, and look in there, sometimes it just comes off the pivot.
