Horatio
Does it matter which I use for an LS1? I'm buying 25 feet of 3/8 for the feed line and would like to avoid buying 25 feet of 5/16 for the return. 25 Feet of 3/8 should be enough for hard line from the engine bay to around the diff for a feed and return, right? m1noel
The 3/8 should be fine for both. Mike
Pyro
The return line should be as big or bigger than the feed line.
Horatio
The return line should be as big or bigger than the feed line. Stock for LS1 is 3/8 feed and 5/16 return... Is it not? I went ahead and got a roll of 5/16 and 3/8. I figured that there must be some reason GM would have had a smaller return line. I couldn't find any definitive answers on the net either. Better off spending a couple extra bucks now then finding out it should have been smaller and have to re-do it! Anyone else want to chime in? P.S. I'll have about half a roll of each left over after my build if someone could use it. I got the black powder coated stuff from JEGS. Let me know and i'll do my best to remeber when i'm done. cheesepocket
I'd sure be interested in relieving you of what's left for the right price. I was looking at that Jeg's kit. Looks like they give you flare fittings and tools to do the job. Is this just the same as a brake line flare fitting? Are the connections adaptable to NPT or AN fittings easily? Looks like everything is for NPT. You can get adapters fro AN though. I'll keep you in mind for when i get mine done.
