  1. My zip is 92201. I'll pay by PayPal.

  2. Same thing, any pictures of the radiator? Any idea on shipping to Oregon?

  3. Do you have any pictures of the Champion radiator? Also is it a 2 or 3 row?

  4. I've got a full set of 513's in 16x8 with brand new bridgestone potenza tires. A bit wider than what you are loking for, but I thought i'd let you know.
  5. Is it built in San Diego???? Let's see if anyone picks up on the random movie quote i'm thinking of! Stay Classy!
  6. Looks great! I wasn't sure of it until I saw it all together. Very nice! Had you considered doing a faux CF treatment to the black? I watched someone do it on one of those saturday morning car shows (Horsepower?). Anyway, he laid some of that none slip kitchen cabinet liner (the rubbery woven like stuff) over black paint and shot over top of it with a lighter charcoal color. It actually turned out pretty darn nice. Not sure how seamless it would look between the ral CF hood and hatch, but it may be something you'd want to check out...... now that you're nearly done
  7. I'm "working" on this swap now. Here's a link to my current progress. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=146776&page=3 Knee surgery and home renovations have halted things but the major transplant surgery is complete. shouldn't be too long before it's all buttoned up.
  8. I've caught a glimpse of a yellow 240/60/80 driving north on 81 not long ago... heading towards Roanoke. Wonder if he/she lives in Roanoke. There's a roanoke z car club out there I believe.
  9. "If his money is green, I'd sell no matter how stupid he was." Agreed If your worried about how the next owner will treat the car then your not ready to get rid of it!!
  10. That turned out great!! Kudos! As far as the bottom edge is concerned... Doesn't look like there's to much curve there. Not sure if your plan to weld in a piece of rounded sheet would work though. You have to remember that not only is the shape of the rear rolling under there, but it is also not a flat surface from the drivers side to the passengers side (does this make sense? Early on Saturday morning with only 1/4 cup of coffee and having trouble finding the correct words to desribe what i'm thinking). I think if you were to try and weld in a pre curved piece that you would have a problem wth it buckling at the center of the car. I think you'd be better of tacking in a flat piece along the top edge and bending it as you go to get the shape right. This way you can prevent that "buckling". The only way i see your plan working would be if you were to try to weld in two different pieces (left and right), which would be dificult to make it look right where they would meet in the middle. Any of this making sense? Imagine taking that curved piece of metal your talking about using, holding it in both hands horizinatlly and bending it. You can see how it would buckle in the middle. Jeesh, i'm rambling... off to drink more coffee! good luck! Looks GREAT. No doubt others will be doing this!
  11. Anyone seen these yet? Wonder if they have intentions of doing a euro set as well?? Should have done that from the beginning IMHO. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-240Z-240-Z-STAINLESS-STEEL-BUMPER-BUMPERS_W0QQitemZ250461846937QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3a50b07d99&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1
  12. Soooo, do we believe the guy can't remeber what happened, or that he's playing dumb so the insurance comapany will cover him even though he was driving like a tool? Clearly the guy was doing well over the speed limit. Any guesses on speed based on damage to his car and damage ya'll have seen in other wrecks? I'm guessing 70+. Guess it's plausible that the gut passed out with his foot on the accelerator? What does insurance do if you've been charged with wreckless driving. Do you still get covered in an accident like this?
  13. Anyone else having trouble with the new posts tab. Every time I hit it I get the following message: This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 13 seconds. It's been doing this all day long.
  14. Said it before, gonna say it again! It's projects like these that keep us motivated to do what we do!! Thanks for taking the time to keep us updated. Rockin' ride!
  15. Those "remarks" sound so similar to ones my wife has made! Constant taunting about the non-running car project in the garage! I keep threatening to drag it out to the front yard and put it on blocks if she doesn't quit!
  16. Depends on several factors.... What is your end goal? Are you just planning on a engine/trans swap? this could prob be done for anywhere between about $5-7K. What kind of condition is your car in now? Need to repair some rust and do body work as well? My project has included some pretty extensive body moifications. I've estimated between $8-10K to FINISH my project (not including what I already have into it). Set a goal and stick with it. If you just want to swap in the LS1 then don't get bit by the "might as well" bug. Take time to plan and do what you can to keep from deviating. I've come to terms with the fact that my project is years away from being completed. I'm taking my time and making sure that i'm enjoying it; otherwise, what's the point in continuing with it?? Good luck!... and get ready to blow some cash!!!!
  17. Sounds REALLY cool though! Hope you can find some pics!
  18. That's what I did! Placed my max bid of $150 within a minute of the end of the auction. No other bids after mine. I had it won at $102 (refreshed page continuously) with three seconds left to go. Waited my three seconds, hit the refresh page again and, BLAM... someone else had won for $152.50! So, you're telling me that within the last three seconds someone countered my offer, knowing my max bid, and within nano seconds had the auction won?? Sounds more like a snipe to me... guess it's possible though:mrgreen: Suppose it could have been blind luck on his part to counter my offer just above $150... and, he could have just happened to get it in seconds before the end of the auction... Isn't that what sniping software does??
  19. Anyone have any recomendations for automotive electronics references? I'll be on bed rest for a couple weeks for some surgery and would like to try and get myself ready for my LS1 swap. I really need some basic electrical information as well as automotive related stuff. Basically, i'm looking for a automotive electronics for dumb-s&^*s book!!
  20. No, cause I had it won 3 seconds out. If he had put in a higher bid then it would have outbid me immediatley when I put my highest bid in at around one minute. Snipe software will bid at the very last second so there's no way I can counter bid. Not really "fair" in my opinion since i'm willing to sit in front of my computer in order to win the thing. Just sucks for me. Like I said... may be time to get the software! I think this is the first time i've ever been sniped though.
  21. Maybe I need to clarify my disgust! I had put in the largest amount I was willing to pay. What urked me was the feeling at three seconds out that I had stolen this thing, only to find out someone had stolen it from me!!! No hard feelings against the guy who won. He was willing to pay more than me so he won it "fairly"(????). I had figured $150 was the max I would pay for one of those roll bars. I think MSA is robbing folks charging $350 for their least expensive one. I'll bet their shipping for that thing is thru the roof as well. You'd end up paying over $400 for it! I figure I can get a hoop and weld on some straight pieces for a heck of a lot less than $400!!
  22. Alright, which one of ya'll just sniped my roll bar??! I had it at 3 seconds then someone jumped in and snagged it!! $350 MSA roll bar that I had for $100!! Guess it's time for me to join in and get the software! Can't beat 'em, join 'em!!
  23. LOL!!! Lost nuts... mustache bar... I'm not quite clever enough to put it together either; however, I agree.... it's in there somewhere!!
