rickl750
Hi Guys, I'm sorry for the dumb question. I have a 1978 280Z fuel injected an I'm replacing all the rubber fuel lines on the fuel rail. One of the manuals says I should use high pressure fuel lines instead of standard and I’m not sure if this info is outdated or do I need some type of special lines. I would assume today’s lines are high pressure since most vehicles are fuel injected. Thanks, Rick
Forrest
Unfortunately not. Most places will try to sell you the SAE 30R7 hose. Make -sure- you get the 30R9. 30R7 will start leaking in under a year, or just burst - both have happened to me. If you can't get 30R9 locally, get it online. MJLamberson
You should be able to get it locally, but you have to ask for it, the stuff out on the floor just doesnt cut it, as stated by Forrest.
attworth
Most auto parts stores will have it in large rolls in the back. They'll usually sell it by the foot.
ckolander
I researched this last summer when I was replacing my fuel lines, the stuff on the floor is for carb'd cars and can't handle the pressure of and injection system. There's quite a bit of price difference too.

In one of the Z's I bought, the prev owner did the same thing - used 30R7 from the pump to the damper. One day I turned the key and SPLASH - gas all over the floor. No fun, man. Replace it.
