stony Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 You don't want to chrome aluminum. take it from someone who has inherited a chrome plated alum intake. not sure why but every time i have seen someone plate aluminum it peels. Even the people that do the plating wont back up the work. Paint or powder coating is the best. If the engine is going to be a show piece and never really ran then plating will be OK.
